OK, so here we are. We made it in to Chicago’s Midway with few problems (just some bumps & a rough landing). Got right on the bus & headed for the “Land of Lincoln” Springfield Illinois.

We were honored to ride in a “sacred bus” that apparently was used by the “Great One”, the “Number One”, the “Only One” man of HOPE: Barack Obama!!!! Imagine the trill I felt to be sitting on the same seat that such an esteemed butt has graced. I can honestly say that I felt a tingle in my extremities as I sat in the impression of such a famous man!

We stopped for dinner and a group of us (no, it’s just not the same without the original “POSSE”) ate at a Chinese restaurant. The food was great! And the portions were super sized. Then on to Springfield a couple and a half hour trip to the Hilton.

Wow, what a surprise! The room was great. A huge bed in a single room! Just an awesome treat for the two days we will be here in Springfield. A few of us (maybe the beginnings of a “Posse part duce”) when out to see what was going on in the town. We finally settled at Sonny’s & watched the Lakers whip the Magic until it got out of control.

So here I am at my computer, “Control Panel of the Cyber Wars” commonly known as “blogging”. What does the week and a half hold for me? What adventures am I destined to enjoy? What memories will I make? Who really knows for sure? Stay tuned and find out for yourselves! Until then, I will check out,

Sincerely,

  1. It’s so very difficult for me to believe that you’re “that” thrilled over the personna tied to that bus! It’s hard to believe, also, that I’m so easily replace – :-( …….you find the “man of hope” and leave old posse members behind! LOL

Hope Day 2 is as wonderful as Day 1! Tell the posse “hi” for me! Can’t wait to hear what you learn from the “Land of Lincoln”

  3. King,

You may not like the President, but you really ought to learn how to spell his name correctly. That makes you look bad, not him.
